From now to the first central division game, I will try to have all teams with preview starting with the worst team, this one, ending with the best one. The Jets have a bad team. The only good thing about them, is how rough and scrappy they are. Of course, that isn't a good thing for a Wild fan. Most wild fans know how rough the Jets team is. They've injured multiple wild players in the last couple years, including Jason Pominville, and Pierre-Mark Bouchard, which cause him to get traded. I went to a Wild game against them, and it was really entertaining, except for the time when Pominville got injured. We ended up winning 2-1, but they scored because of a stupid buzzer beater at the end of the second period. But lets get back on track.
The Jets have a couple good players like Blake Wheeler, Mark Scheifele, and Bryan Little on offense, and Dustin Byfuglien, who is probably the second best offensive defenseman, only below Brent Burns, and Byfuglien is also a great defenseman, along with Toby Enstrom and Tyler Myers and Mike Stuart, but most of the players I listed aren't even that good. They're just good compared to the rest of the team. The only reason they're not the worst team in the league is because they know how to check. The Jets record last year was 35-39-8, they were 22nd in the league. This year I bet they're going to have a worse record, so that's not to big of competition for the Wild, but it'll be hurt to beat them because they're a big, rough team.
One of the only reasons it's so hard to beat them, is because they have a great goalie. The only problem that it's hard to beat every team in the Central Division is because they all have insanely great goalies.
Stanley cup odds: 40-1
Should the Wild be able to beat them? Yes, the Wild are a better team then the Winnipeg Jets, but the one thing they need to do to secure that, is to not be afraid of their size.
